A Message from the President:
Dear CMAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Members,

First, I would like to congratulate and welcome all our newly elected board members and officers to the CMAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Board for the 2025 – 2026 term.   I am honored to serve our nearly 600 - chapter members and 80 member companies for my first term as President.  Ever since my first project as a Junior Officer with the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, I have had the great pleasure to work with many seasoned professional construction management personnel who strive day in and day out to bring value to projects.  Professional construction managers are integral pieces to executing projects and ensuring success in construction project delivery.  In serving the Mid-Atlantic Chapter I will strive to ensure success of the chapter and promote the profession that has brought me much success.

As we begin this new year, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the CMAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter as we strive to implement a vision of providing excellence to our membership.  As CMAA members, we should remain optimistic about our Chapter’s future, the focus on member engagement, and building on the success of past Chapter Leaders.  Our vision includes increasing membership engagement, including student chapters, growing our scholarship program, and maintaining our strong fiscal standing.

During the coming year, our chapter will introduce initiatives that support our vision and increase engagement with our board leaders and members.  Building upon our recent success in 2024, we will focus on building our scholarship program, engaging members and owners in the region through programs, student outreach and engagement.

With 31 regional chapters across the country, CMAA is the voice of the program and construction management industry and the premier resource for professionals working in the built environment.  With a mission to promote, support, educate, and develop professionals who lead the delivery of programs and projects within the built environment, CMAA Mid-Atlantic will strive with our board and members to provide a Chapter enthusiastic about developing leaders in Construction Management.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Timothy Mason for all his leadership in the past and the guidance he will continue to provide into the future.  He has been a mentor within the CMAA Mid-Atlantic Board, and his commitment to member growth is so much appreciated.  I aspire to be a president who matches the values, vision, and dedication that Tim embodies.  Tim, thank you for the opportunity to serve, and I look forward to working with you and the board to continue to provide a platform for our next generation of leaders in a profession that has been so good to us.

Sincerely,
Anthony R. Fitzpatrick, P.E., CCM
